Workforce
In partnership with A Place at the Table and with support from the City of Raleigh and other generous funders, The Great Raleigh Cleanup Workforce Program provides immediate, paid employment opportunities for individuals experiencing homelessness, housing instability, reentry, and other life challenges.
Participants earn $20 per hour while helping remove litter from Raleigh's roadsides, parks, greenways, waterways, and public spaces. More than a cleanup crew, the program offers dignified work, consistent income, and an opportunity to reconnect with the workforce while making a visible impact on the community.
Since launching in 2023, the program has employed more than 100 individuals, paid over $100,000 in wages, and removed hundreds of thousands of pounds of litter from our community.
