Our Vision
The Great Raleigh Cleanup is a 501 (c)(3) organization, founded in 2020, whose vision is a litter-free Raleigh cared for by a community of environmental stewards.
Driven by this vision, we have built a vibrant network of passionate individuals and organizations across Raleigh, united by the belief that every neighborhood deserves to be clean, healthy, and a source of pride. Since our founding, our efforts have made a measurable and lasting difference in the community.
We are deeply grateful for the collective dedication of those who share our mission and have helped us create a cleaner, more sustainable Raleigh. Their commitment fuels our success and inspires us to continue expanding our efforts. Together, we look ahead with optimism, working to make a litter-free Raleigh a reality for all.

How We Do It
Creating Litter-Free Neighborhoods for All
The Great Raleigh Cleanup has achieved remarkable milestones, removing over 45,000 pounds of litter from Raleigh's landscapes and expanding our Workforce Program. Thanks to our new partnerships, we significantly enhanced our landfill diversion efforts and stepped up our commitment to removing litter from our waterways. Our work culminated in #TheGreatRaleighCampout, bringing the community together in a celebration of environmental stewardship and collective effort.
